Description
Red and white meat mincer. Known as "The Buffalo". Patented October 25, 1904 and July 4, 1911. Half a sheep could be minced at one time. It is rumoured the sheep could be minced without boning it first. The mincer is driven by a tractor, or via a belt pulley with an electric motor. See catalogue record VFM0.800.0190 for the sausage machine which is a pair with this mincer and images of the two together showing how they work. Donated by Les Ruffell, a one time lamb drafter, in Novemeber 1999. Owned by Marlborough Vintage Farm Machinery Society.
