Description Ruston Hornsby stationary engine - serial number 308907 - class VCB, size 4. A four cylinder diesel engine, with a very big shaft which had about 20 belts all driving different pieces of equipment. It was the main power supply for the Picton Freezing Works before they had electric power and is ex the New Zealand Refrigerating Company.

Donor unknown, possibly the New Zealand Refrigerating Company. Owned by Marlborough Vintage Farm Machinery Society Inc.
