Dark green National diesel stationary engine - serial number 56903 - 2 cylinder. New Zealand import agents were Turnbull & Jones Ltd. Their plaque, in image 3, says, "Turnbull & Jones Ltd, Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Palmerston North. The National Gas & Oil Engine Co. Ltd, Ashton-under-lyne, England, for spares quote 56903 engine number." This engine was probably used to drive a boat. Donor unknown, owned by Marlborough Vintage Farm Machinery Society. |
