Collection VFM (unaccessioned) General
Description Dark green Ruston [& Hornsby?] stationary engine, with generator. Model IVTH - serial number 258144 - five horse power. Manufactured in Lincoln, England. Once used for the Karamea township power supply. The generator is in the middle, the little tank is for fuel and the larger tank for water.

Donated by W.H. [Bill] Ballard and A.M. [Arthur] Baker of Karamea. Arthur Baker was also at one time living in the Wairau Valley where he started the first motor garage. Owned by Marlborough Vintage Farm Machinery Society Inc.
