D - Yellow sticker number 70: 1 x tin hatbox. This hatbox was at Cob Cottage in September 2006 when Steve Austin photographed it in the Sitting room. On 24 August 2006 Jenny Pierson found a list titled 'Contents in Cob Cottage', possibly compiled for fire insurance purposes, in a folder titled 'MHS Correspondence Y/E 31/8/1969', in a box titled 'MHS Corresp. & Balance Files 1967-70', on Shelf B in Archives Bay 91. It has under Pantry, "hat-box." Removed from cob cottage on 23 January 2013 and taken to VFM farm cottage for display. This hatbox is full of linen, also from Cob Cottage, which has not been catalogued because it is props. Put forward for deaccessioning at June 2013 MHS Committee meeting, no provenance to Marlborough, rust damage and a duplicate, removed from VFM loan 66 and given to VFM for their permanent collection at their farm cottage. Accepted for deaccessioning 26 June 2013.
