Description
Yamaha 1969 trail bike, model YG5T, 80cc. It came with two sprockets, a road one and an off road one. In 1969 Ron Hebberd, owner of Seddon Service Station (1965) Limited, was given the Yamaha agency for Marlborough. Because of import restrictions he had an allocation of four Yamaha each year. This is the first motorcycle, from his first year's allocation of four, that he sold as proprietor of Seddon Service Station. It's price when new was $540. It was sold by Ron as a farm bike, but Yamaha didn't make a real farm bike until 1973.
