Description Curved metal half cylinder grating surface with a small can shaped container with a spring inside used for holding in place a piece of nutmeg. Nutmeg fits into the little hole, which then is tightened down by the spring loaded knob. This whole can shaped container slides back and forward across the grating surface. Probably once had a wooden knob for a handle attached to the point on top and also missing a handle which was attached to the bottom. Called 'The Edgar' nutmeg grater.
