Description Cake mixer, 'Universal', tinned iron, made by Landers, Frary & Clark, United States of America, 1896-1920. A cake mixer made of tinned iron with an iron bracket at base for hooking onto bench clamps. An arch cross piece attached to pan with butterfly nuts and two wire mixers attached to arch move when handle with wooden grip is turned. A bent hook alternative mixing device can be fitted. Stamped on the arched cross piece 'LANDERS, FRARY / & CLARK / NEW BRITIAN / CONN. / U.S.A. / MADE IN U.S.A. /1 / UNIVERSAL / CAKE / MAKER / PATENTED / JAN, 14, 96. APRIL 18, 05./ JULY 18, 05. NOV. 7, 05'.
