Collection RML (unaccessioned) General
Description Lace making loom and bobbins with instruction book for The American Lace Maker.
Includes one loom made of board covered with dark green velert and a reel where the lace is made. The loom is set up with a lace pattern on the reel and 20 bobbins lying on the board. A sample of lace has been started.
There are several lace patterns printed on paper and seven spare bobbins.
Two lace samples, one a strip 125cm by 4.5cm in white cotton, and one 17 x 4cm in white cotton with blue wool decorative pattern.

The Torchon Lace company of Melbourne produced this kitset for bobbin lace. It is dated about 1904 and was sold door to door. The company offered to buy the finished lace.
