Embroidery thread holder, possibly owned by Edith Watson. Taupe linen roll with stitched linen strip looped to hold different embroidery threads. There are a range of skeins of thread held in these loops and a large clump of tangled threads loose. There is a stencilled image on the outside that could have been embroidered. The holder is edged with brown binding.
