Wedding bodice. Has a lace upstanding collar. The front has a lace insert. the main material is formed into two large tucks on each side with three covered buttons at the bottom of each side in the middle to give the appearance of a jacket. The tucks continue over the shoulders and down the back. The bodice is closed down the back with nine mother of pearle buttons and a hook and eye at the top and bottom. There is a lace yoke top center back which extends down for the first four buttons. The sleeves are pintucked net over satin with lace at the cuff. There is a half length over sleeve which is buttoned with one covered button below the shoulder. The bodice is strengthened with whale bone. . Used in the wedding of Minnie Lucas to Reuben Ebinezer Watson, 27th April, 1910
