Collection PMHS (unaccessioned) General
Description Two-piece pale green gown, consisting of a skirt and bodice, embellished with lace and ribbon. The boned bodice has a handstitched elastic insertion used to keep the bottom part of the bodice snug around the waist. This has a "W.B. Girling & Co, Blenheim" label and has most likely been added later.

Donated by Mr. Neil O'Connor of Tua Marina, it is said to have been worn by one of the Hastilow women during her voyage from England to New Zealand.
