Description |
Collodionized mantle container and mantle. The mantle is shaped on a wooden shaper, and is then burned off by a Bunsen flame. The ash skeleton is dipped into a collodionizing solution; 'collodionizing' was used to preserve them during transport. Part of the Brothers Lighthouse collection. Donated by Mr. I Hargreaves. |
