Description |
Newmans coach and timber wagons crossing the Wairau River at Renwick.
This is a copy from a publication of some sort. The wording on the bottom of the negative reads; " The photos show how the Wairau River used to be crossed at Renwick, about seven miles from Blenheim. The river is now spanned by the fine bridge shown on opposite page. (1) The Nelson Mail Coach crossing the river. (2) Timber wagons fording the Wairau." The original photgraph is attributed to Cameron.
Information from photographer Gordon McCusker's index book (see Notes), and from Archives Staff. |
