Description
Black Fur Cape. c.1950. Double layered cape with the two front under panels kept in place with a strip of same fur connecting them under the back of the cape. The over layer drops from the shoulder forming the majority of the cape. It can either be fastened by two hooks which allows the collar to form a turnback or by two buttons which make the collar into a standup collar. It has black satin lining. Label reads "Beetz Bros & Co, San Francisco". There are several fur capes on PastPerfect as at 24 March 2013, but they are not described well enough to know if one of them is this one.
