Description Selection of photographs of the Byford Family.

1. Studio portrait of Thomas Byford and his wife, Laura Goodman, daughter of John Peake Goodman and Emily Lethbridge. They were married in Blenheim.

2. T.D. Byford standing outside his barbershop. Mr. Byford moved premises - his old premises was opposite the Colonial Bank, Alfred Street; in 1891 he moved to Market Street North, beside Simmond's Butchers and opposite the Criterion Hotel.

3. Photograph (x2) taken of 2 Sutherland Terrace, Blenheim, the home of Tom and Laura Byford, circa 1899/1900.

4. Two copies of a family photograph for Mr. & Mrs. Byford's (senior) Silver Wedding, circa 1904/1905. Taken outside the home of Thomas & Laura Byford, facing north. The building in the centre, beyond the trees, was built by 'Iremonger' and intended as a hotel. It was later owned by Mansoor Peters from the Lebanon and in 1993 was the site of the 'Independent Tyre Company'.
