A book plate is glued on the inside cover: University College School at the examination July 18-? This book was awarded to Alfred Dobson being the highest prize in the upper 4th class of Geometry. T. Hewitt, M.A. Head Master.
Cover is olive green leather with gold embossed deccoration with the letters U.C.S. and the word paulatim.
A book mark of purple satin and a embroidered kitset panel "think of me" inserted between pages 118 and 119 (removed)
