Don Furness - Marlborough Then and Now

Donald Milsham Furness worked for The Marlborough Express newspaper from 1931 and became Managing Director in 1950. He was a Company Manager when he died in 1994. His Furness family had owned the paper since 1879 when Don's grandfather, Smith James Furness, bought a partnership with James Henry Boundy. Don's son-in-law, Roger Rose, ended the family connection when he retired in 2011.

Don was a keen and competent photographer. This album is titled 'Marlborough - then and now'. In most cases the 'then' photographs are dated, but the 'now' are not. However, all photographs are prior to 1994.

The album is presented here in as it is in real life. The individual images have not been extracted from the images of the pages.
