Description Dress, Victorian, coffee and cream stripes with a floral motif, tafetta material. Or as described by Textile's manager in 2011: Pale brown and grey striped silk taffeta gown. It has pink/green floral motifs down the grey stripe. Piping at the neckline, on the shoulder armscye seam line and at waistline. Long sleeves finished at wrist with a metal hook. It has a panel of handstitched tucks centre front. The gown is fully lined with fine linen material and has no boning. On the front left side there is a trim of the same material of three frills arranged in a wave from waistline to hem. The gown is fastened with 11 metal hooks and thread eyes centrefront. Fabric/Weave: silk taffeta/plain. Some fracturing of the material especially at the hem.
