Description White cotton half petticoat. Cartridge pleats onto a wide piece of the cotton material which has been simply doubled over to make a waistband of 5.5cm deep. The petticoat is fastened centreback with two cotton tapes (54cm). It has a large placard centreback where material has just been turned back and stitched. The petticoat is made out of one piece of material and the one seam centreback is hand whipped to make a small flat seam. A dart centrefront shapes the waistband. It has 11 deep pintucks of 1.5cm and is finished at the hem with 4cm of broderie anglaise lace. Cotton/plain weave. Some small holes and some of the stitching has come undone. Some lace missing centrefront.
