Description White cotton half petticoat. Hand stitched cartridge pleats onto band of doubled over material forming the waistband (4cm). The body of the petticoat has 18 pintucked pleats (75cm deep) from 32cm to 55cm from waistband then there is a band of broderie anglaise 31cm deep at hem. Cotton/plain weave and lace. Waistband is fastened by a button (white plastic replacement) and handstitched buttonhole.

Object is fifth from the left in image 4.

Was one of the garments in storage over at Girlings shop and is catalogued in the little exercise book as, "Ladies white cotton ½ petticoat - much tucked - very full- deep brod.ang.lace."
