Description |
Brownlee and Co's locomotive Opouri which crashed through the bridge at the present site of Dalton's Bridge over the Pelorus River. David Young was the driver but was not seriously injured. The Opouri fell over at Dalton's bridge, 1 September 1911. David Young had 69 days sick leave and started back at work on the 20th November 1911. (From Brownlee's time books) Copied 1960 from Miss Couper, Pelorus. Has the words "Railway accident, Pelorus Marlborough" written on it. |
