Collection Beavertown Fire Station

Description Beavertown Fire Station: Fordson Thames V8, registration number EJ29. Vintage 1949. It is a water carrier, but the large tank on the back has been taken out, there is a small tank still behind the cab. It has a small, low volume pump. This truck is the only one of its type in New Zealand.

its early history is unknown. From Hamilton it went to Havelock and then to Linkwater where it was stationed with the Rural Fire Force. It was donated to Beavertown Fire Station in 1987.
