Description 
72 of 164 (8 x 10.7cm) glass plate negatives. Digital images of this negative have been made, put on a compact disk (see 2007.068.0004) and displayed here. Elsie Mapp was employed as teacher at Pelorus School in 1915 when she was 21 years old, she was still teaching there in 1921. Elsie boarded with Winnie Couper and this photograph shows her standing on the front steps of Winnie's house at Pelorus Bridge. Elsie's brother, Tom Mapp, ws married in 1927 to Amy Winifred Couper [1903-1995].
