Photographer Couper, Winifred Louina
Description 24 of 164 (8 x 10.7cm) glass plate negatives. Digital images of this negative have been made, put on a compact disk (see 2007.068.0004) and displayed here.

This is probably John Sinclair [1885-1912] Couper, rather than Sinclair John (1912-1996] Couper, judging by the clothing and the fact that the time period would have to be considerably outside of 1920 as this boy is more than 8 years old, but it could be of either Sinclair. The cow is an Ayreshire and they are standing on Pelorus Road outside Couper's [probably The Chestnuts] gate.
