Description Captain Euan Dickson, with two passengers, C.H. Hewlett, deputy chairman of the Canterbury Aviation Company and J.E. Moore, the chief mechanic, flew from Dillons Point to Trentham. It was the first crossing of Cook Strait by air. This photograph was taken at Dillons Point after the return from Wellington.
