Lessons They All Enjoy. Popular lessons at St. Mary's Convent yesterday were instruction in the Road Code with Traffic Officer C. Hood, of Nelson, road traffic instructor in schools. In this photograph Standard two learns the correct way to give a stop signal. Traffic Officer Hood will spend at least four weeks visiting Marlborough schools, and, as well as carrying out a pre-holidays check on bicycles, is introducing a new drill for school patrols under which pupils cross patrolled pedestrian crossings to whistle signals.
