Description Image from Negative number 235, published in The Marlborough Express, Saturday, November 9, 1957, page 5.

Hidden Beauty In Native Timbers. Some of the work of Mr. C.R. Moore, of Weld Street, an amateur woodturner, who uses a lamination process to bring out the hidden beauty in native timbers. As the photograph shows the method emphasises the grain of the timber through contrast, and as can be seen from this collection of jars, bowls, and plates, the process has few limitations compared with the solid-block method.
