New Church Buildings Underway. The new Presbyterian Sunday School [see MEX0.900.0123] in Henry Street and the first Baptist Church [see MEX0.900.0124], on the corner of Beaver Road and High Street, have both been started. Work on the foundations is at an advanced stage. The foundation stone of the Sunday School is to be laid by the Rt. Rev. R.G. McDowall, the new Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, at a ceremony on Saturday. The building should be finished in June or July. There will be no stone-laying ceremony at the Baptist Church, which should be completed by the beginning of April.
