Mr H.J. Bright 92 Today. Mr. H.J. Bright, of Dillon's Point Road, is today celebrating his 92nd birthday. Still hale and hearty and in possession of all of his faculties, Mr. Bright took time off yesterday from doing some work with a scythe when an Express photographer visited him.He has a plot of about an acre which keeps him busy, and over the past few days the rain has allowed growth of grass to get out of control.Yesterday he was making up for lost time. Mr. Bright is observing his birthday quietly with his wife and members of his family which extends over four generations. Mr. Bright was born at Picton and has resided in Marlborough all his life. He was well-known in the early days as an engine driver, operating for sawmills, flax mills and flour mills in various parts of the district.
