A Boxful Of Punctures. Mr. N. Banfield, of Christchurch, operator of the Ministry of Works magnetic truck, shows The Express photographer some of the metal collected from the roads in the Blenheim, Picton, Ward and Havelock areas. It included a large proportion of twisted wire, nails, pieces of cars and flattened tins. In two weeks Mr. Banfield covered about 500 miles of roads in the area.
