27 Years Service To Hospital Administration. Warm tributes to the services of Mr. J. Randall to the Marlborough Hospital Board and the Picton Hospital Committee were paid by members at yesterday's meeting of the Board. Mr. Randall has relinquished his association with hospital administration after an active interest extending over 27 years. Similar tributes were paid at the meeting of the Picton Hospital Committee last Friday. Members would be sincerely sorry that Mr. Randall had given up his association with hospital board administration, said the Board chairman, Mr. C.E. Townshend, yesterday. Mr. Randall had been a loyal member of the Board and Committee and had done the district a great service. Mr. Randall was appointed to the Picton Committee when it was first formed in 1930 and had thus served for a period of 27 years. In addition he had been a member of the Board from 1941 to 1953. The years during which Mr. Randall had been a Board member were difficult ones, said Mr. A.G. Wicks. It was a time when the Board was in conflict with contributing local bodies. A letter conveying appreciation of Mr. Randall's services is to be forwarded from the Board.
