Image from Negative number 138, published in The Marlborough Express Monday, October 7, 1957, page 3.
Work Of Scout-Trained Hands. No paper and only two matches is the Boy Scout rule. Seen here amidst the smoke are patrols taking part in a fire-lighting and billy-boiling event at the Scout field day held at The Bluegums on Saturday. The Scouts had to lay and light a fire and boil up a billy of water until it boiled over and extinguished the fire. |
