"An example of the work of vandals in the Taylor Pass area is the partial destruction of this shed which houses valuable pumping equipment for the Borough's Taylor River water supply. The fibreboard exterior of the shed has been shattered by stones, but fortunately the tongue-and-groove interior lining has resisted the impact. At least one shotgun charge has also been fired at the building. Farmers in the area report instances of vandalism on their properties, mainly tampering with stock water troughs". |
