Relief From Surface Water. Part of (the) development work being carried out by the Marlborough Catchment Board for the purpose of giving surface water relief in the Dillon's Point area, the seven-chain length by Swamp Road drain from the Opawa River is being cleaned by drag-line. Seen here inspecting a section of the properties on each side of the drain are Messrs R. Holdaway, J. Dixon and J. Dixon, Jun., owners of the properties on each side of the drain, P. Rouse, a member of the firm of contractors carrying out the work, and T. Tebbutt, a Catchment Board employee.
