Seasoned Team On Community Project . Seldom has a team of two over-70-year-olds taken on such a community project as that on which Messrs C. Jacobsen and W.J. Smith, of Picton, are working. They are patiently dragging load after load of spoil from the water at the western end of the Picton foreshore and when they have finished will have reclaimed two acres of valuable land for the Picton Progress & Beautifying Society. Donating their labour, they started work on the project in June and hope to finish in October. They normally work from 9 am or earlier until dark. The value of the reclaimed land is estimated to be in excess of 4,000 pounds.
