Description
This cup was found between the frames of the Edwin Fox starboard side amidships. It is possibly part of a child's play tea set, or perhaps a sauce holder for the Chinese labourers onboard. Phone call, 9 November 2012, to Jenny Pierson, from Karen at the Edwin Fox Centre (Rachel's replacement). She says a Chinese lady tourist came in and saw this little cup and stated it isn't from a child's tea set, but is a prestigious tea cup, from a particular region, for a particular type of tea, and would have belonged in a wealthy household.
