Description
Brass turnbuckle from a porthole of the Edwin Fox. With a length of rod for screwing, it is used to open the porthole. In good condition, with verdigris on the surface. Found in a wall on the Edwin Fox during restoration. During the ship's lifetime objects had fallen down the walls and got caught in the knees (a bent piece of wood used as a brace).
