Description |
I do not know the correct name for this object. It is a lower attachment on a sailing ship's ladder, the ladder used for accessing the masts and sails. There are many of them from the Edwin Fox and they come in smaller and larger sizes. All are metal and painted black. They might be called shackles. Images 3 and 4 are of photographs showing how the tensioners are used. Image 2 is a label with the tensiorers but without any explanation. |
