Collection VFM (unaccessioned) General
Description Grey McCormick Deering tractor, model W12 - serial number WS2055. Made by International Harvester Company, Chicago, U.S.A. The little tank on top is for the petrol which the tractor starts on, then it runs on kerosene. They are designed this way because it is hard to start a tractor on kerosene. The grey paint is authentic. Not many McCormick Deering tractors were painted grey.

This tractor once had steel wheels, but rubber tread has been added to both back and front wheels. It was one of the VFM tractors taken to the show in Christchurch about 2004.

On loan (date not stated) to Vintage Farm Machinery Society from Dale Donald and Sons of Rocky Creek, Havelock Suburban.
