Date 1960
Description Yamaha 1960 motorbike. Model MF1. Yamaha started making motorbikes in 1955. These were the first 50cc motorbikes made by them and the first models to come to New Zealand. Imported by Canterbury Mopeds Limited. Ten were imported originally, this bike is one of the ten. It has mono suspension - rubber block for rear, front is rubber suspension.

This bike was found at the back of a shop in Christchurch in 2010 and brought to Seddon, just before the September earthquake.
