WW1 Marlborough Sacrifice - Textiles

With the commemorations of WWI, museums around the world have been considering new ways to present their collections, and how they tell the story of what happened for new audiences.

At Marlborough Museum we have taken the opportunity to research our collections and uncover hidden stories, many presented for the first time.

We are still researching many local aspects, and hope to build on what we have developed so far.

The community sacrifice was considerable in many ways, and as a nation we increasingly understand more fully the sacrifice that the war demanded.
