Description 16 x shells. Tin of shells from Sea of Galilee. When catalogued in 2013 the shells were in a box. There is an original label on the lid of the box, "Shells from Uncle Gerry gathered from Sea of Galille during 1st World War". They were sent to Oscar Green at Seatoun Wellington in a Red Cross WW1 tin that had originally contained sweets, and later to Mrs. Fleming, by Gerald Green of Highland Park, Wellington. What has become of the tin is unknown.

Trooper Gerald Rolfe Green (c.1897-1974), service number 11/1799, was drafted into the 7th Wellington Mounted Rifles regiment. His next of kin was his Father, W.H. Green, of Marine Parade, Seatoun, Wellington.
