F.W. Greig Diary 1918




Rifleman 30931 Frederick William Greig was born in 1878 and was living with his sister, Mrs. J. Young, in Hector Street, Petone, Wellington, when he enlisted. He embarked on the troopship Athenic for Plymouth, England in December 1916 and a few months later was sent to France.

Frederick was a carpenter and spent much of his war plying his trade. He died in New Zealand in 1949.
