Abstract 1 x 1959 phonograph record "Report with soundings". The story of a New Zealand province, the province of Marlborough.
Basil Clarke interviewed: Nancy Riwaka, Thomas Flood, W.G. Parkes, and Captain A.A. Perano, all of Picton. A.J. Smith, of Tua Marina; Allen Hale, of Blenheim; and Charles Stavely and Albert Guard, of Port Underwood. Albert Guard is Captain Jacky's grandson.

Record is 58 minutes long. It was broadcast on 1 November 1959. The Wairau Affair sections was based on an interview with W.J. Elvy and the other interviews were arranged by the Marlborough Centennial Association. The interviewer was Basil Clarke and it was produced by Roy Melford at the Wellington Radio Station for New Zealand Broadcasting Services.

The actors are: Davina Whitehouse, Anthony Grocer; Alan Jarvis; Tim Elliot; Peter Read; Lauri Sweetapple; Thane Bettany; Roy Leywood.

The cover shows Captain Jacky Guard drawing a mark in the sand with Te Rauparaha and his followers on the other side.
