1925 Flaxbourne showgrounds photograph. A black and white mounted photograph showing the Ward showgrounds in 1925. A tent has been erected and the showgrounds building is in the centre. Several cars are parked in the foreground.
A scan of this photograph will be used in the Changing European History Gallery 2 display in commemoration of the Marlborough Provincial 150th anniversary on 1 November 2009.

A 1920s Flaxbourne Agricultural and Pastoral Society's Annual Show. These showgrounds are in Ward township. The Wharanui gate posts, stone walls, and monument, honour the dead from World War 1. The assembled highland pipers may have been about to lead the grand parade.
