J.D. Iremonger, Blenheim.

Spring Creek's original station. The picket-style fretwork behind the name plate, the rounded ticket windows, and the contrasting paint colours, embellish this otherwise simple building. Inside, the Station Master had his office. There is a waiting lobby, necessary in the absence of a platform veranda. Mothers, and children, wear their Sunday best, so it looks like another shopping sortie to Blenheim. The top sign refers to the H B Clothing Factory. The firm first opened their Blenheim business in 1890. 2009.067.0018
