Description
Wooden wheelbarrow with a metal front wheel. It is painted pinky red in a patchy way and has M.O.W [Ministry of Works] painted on one side. Inside the wheelbarrow are three gold bearing quartz rocks from Wakamarina which were brought to MHS by Kevin Andrews. There is a fourth inside cabinet 8 (see image 2). The poem leaning against one of the rocks is: "I have a claim in Cullen's Creek, There's nothing in it. Its costs would make a miser shriek, There's nothing in it. We bottomed on a sidling reef, Three grains of gold we got for beef, A miner's life is full of grief, There's nothing in it." James Watts
