Description |
1 of 2 white cotton pillowcases (this pillowcase is on the left in image 8). Two different materials used- cambric for the frill and heavier cotton to support the embroidery. Around the edge is a hairpin lace on pintucked frill. White work embroidery (montmellic) on the body of the case. The lace is ripped in places and the stitching of the frill is undone. Some small stains. Some rough cobbling has been added in places to the frill to hold it in place.
