Description |
Whitework lace collection of 17 crochet, tatted and knitted pieces.
a. Strip of tatting - consists of tying knots either in circles or along a foundation thread using a tatting shuttle (242cm long, 1.5cm wide). This is the long strip around three eges.
b. Mat - tatting (12cm x 12cm). This is bottom left.
c. Doiley - crochet (13cm). This is top left.
d. Duchesse mat - crochet (29cm). This is top middle.
e. Motifs - would have been joined together to form a doiley/mat (6cm). These are top right and between k. and l.
f. Collar - knitted lace (75cm outer edge). This is below d.
g. Collar - crochet (43cm outer edge). This is left side above k.
h. Collar - crochet (50cm outer edge). This is left side above g.
i. Doiley - crochet (33cm). This is in the centre belove f.
j. Mat - crochet and cotton (22xcm x 11cm). This is on the right side centre.
k. Collar - crochet (44cm outer edge). This is left side above b.
l. Mat - rickrack tape and crochet (24.5cm). This is bottom right.
All in very good condition, but some rust marks.
